Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Less than two hundred invitations have gone out, and membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. As a reminder, everything besides uploading a profile picture and information was locked until this post. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Oddly, profile pictures still cannot be swapped out at this time, so hopefully you took a good one.

Ryoga Hibiki No, my parents got her when we were in Japan. I think someone we knew was giving away puppies.

She came with us on the plane. Well, not exactly with us, she had to go in a crate in the cargo hold. But she seemed okay afterwards. Where'd you get Umbra and Pryna?

Lunafreya Fleuret Ah, how wonderful! I don't believe Umbra and Pryna have ever traveled outside of coming to Recollé, but even then, that was simply by car... A relative attained them from a breeder in a different city. I've had them since I was in high school, and I believe my parents were more than happy to let me take them when I moved out on my own.
Lunafreya Fleuret How old is Checkers? She must be happy to have such an attentive owner!

Ryoga Hibiki A breeder? So they're swanky purebred dogs, eh? Their coats do look nice and shiny. But don't pedigreed dogs cost a fortune?

About five and a half. But I don't know exactly, since they didn't tell us when her birthday is.

Lunafreya Fleuret As far as I know, yes. I'm sure that they came with papers, but I've long since misplaced them... And I suppose they do tend to be on the pricey side, but. I would love them just as much if I had found them in a cardboard box in an alleyway.

[ Lunafreya notes that it had never occurred to her to consider how much the both of them had cost; it would make sense that they'd be expensive, considering their origins. She feels a strange sense of guilt at not having given it any thought. ]

Lunafreya Fleuret Ah, I see. I don't know the birth dates of mine, either, though I do know that they're from the same litter.
Lunafreya Fleuret You mentioned that you brought Checkers with you on a plane from Japan... Did you live there previously? Or were you simply visiting?

Ryoga Hibiki Yes, that's very true. The measure of a good dog is not his or her papers.

[who was a good dog. who was a good puppyyyy. (it was Checkers)]

Ryoga Hibiki I did live in Japan. I still go back for visits. All my relatives are there, except my parents -- they moved here for work. I suspect that's why they got her for me.
