Welcome to Retrospec™, the last social media network you will ever need. You are one of the few selected to test this exciting new platform based on our cutting-edge algorithms. Less than two hundred invitations have gone out, and membership is not currently open to the public. However, we hope you will come to see how useful Retrospec™ is, given time. We have for your use a variety of features such as text, voice, video, and image posts. We encourage you to explore our many options.

Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. As a reminder, everything besides uploading a profile picture and information was locked until this post. Usernames are the character's full real AU names, not aliases or chosen nicknames or usernames, and seemed to have filled themselves in; nothing characters do can change or obscure their names currently. Oddly, profile pictures still cannot be swapped out at this time, so hopefully you took a good one.

I don't actually own a pet, so I'm safe there, but that makes me nervous. What if it's dangerous? It doesn't look like anything I've ever seen before in my life after all.

Ryoga Hibiki That's why I made the post. I'm sure there's someone here equipped to identify yetis or what-have you.
true_noir: (Hmmm)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yeti? Isn't that a little extreme? I mean, isn't that the thing in Scotland that nobody ever found?
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: why you...)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki THAT'S THE LOCH NESS MONSTER
true_noir: (Hmmm)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, is that what its name was? Then, what's a yeti? I don't really keep up on these things.
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: mysterious)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki Are you taking this seriously?
true_noir: (Hmmm)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Less than I was, though I do remember that there was this very strange sound that I heard when I was near some trucks the other day. It sounded like a "Kweh" or something like that. Maybe your mystery thing makes that sound?
momentaryspring: (Default)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki It was less like a squeaky toy and more like the passing of a fell wind.
true_noir: (Hmmm)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
No, the strange sound I heard didn't sound anything like a fell wind, or anything like that. It just sounded like an peacock. I remember those from the last time I was at a zoo, but it wasn't quite right, and much too loud.
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: I'll do you a favor)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki Then perhaps it was, in fact, a peacock from the zoo. They can fly, after all.

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
Like I said, it was far too loud to be a real peacock. And it was coming from inside the truck. But it sounds like we're talking about different things either way.
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: did senpai notice me)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki Frankly, I don't know how you'd tell what would be with the acceptable range of peacock loudness, but I agree that it sounds unrelated.

Someone suggested sarcastically that my photo was of the founder. I think it's more likely that your sound was connected to him. That is to say, perhaps it was something they're planning for part of the celebration later this week.

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
It was a very big truck. I shouldn't have been able to hear it if it was just a peacock in there? And maybe it is. Who knows? I can still be careful, either way.

First, strange apps, and then weird photos. Better safe than sorry.

Ryoga Hibiki All the programs on my phone are strange, so it makes no difference to me.

Half the time I can't so much as find the one I want.
true_noir: (Hmmm)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
I don't put many on mine, not even that candy crush game. It clutters my phone up, and I don't have a very good one.
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: stare)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki It's probably for the best. People walk around looking at their phones all the time and it's only a matter of time before someone's hit with a car.
true_noir: (Hmmm)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, right, like that new monster hunter app? The one people got into accidents wile driving with? Why do people play those kinds of things? I don't see the appeal.
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: sigh)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki I don't know. There's enough going on in real life, if you ask me. Parks, hiking, and all that.
true_noir: (Smile2)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
And yetis. Don't forget yetis.

[Ok, now she's not taking him seriously, but she felt like teasing him just slightly about this at this point, even if he was right in the end. She needed a good laugh.]
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: hmph)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki Yetis are the Himalayas. You're probably thinking of Bigfoot.
true_noir: (Hmmm)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably? But you mentioned them earlier, right? I don't know much about those sorts of things, if you hadn't guessed.
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: did senpai notice me)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki Yes. I just thought everyone knew a little. I'm not an expert on Scotland, either, but if I went there I'd have to at least bring back some decent souvenirs.
true_noir: (Smile2)

[personal profile] true_noir 2017-02-01 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Well where I come from, we don't talk about folk tales of monsters much, and I didn't bother to look them up when I moved here, so I only really know the names of a couple. I never visited Scotland either. I really haven't traveled that much.
momentaryspring: (Ryoga: w-well if you say so)

[personal profile] momentaryspring 2017-02-01 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Ryoga Hibiki Really? I've been to a lot of places. Mostly around here or Japan, though. You should try it. There are all those highways and all.

Maybe after I get my degree? It might be good to take my girlfriend on a trip through Europe, or maybe Asia. I'm sure she'd love that. But first I need to bring her here.
