You should! My mother is always telling me about the cat she had growing up. I've always wanted one myself, but it turns out I'm allergic to most pets that shed. I've only been able to admire them from far away.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's not fun when you have allergies, it's hard to resist petting a cute animal. I know I'd be pretty bummed if I couldn't pet a cat. Have you ever tried petting a cat that doesn't shed? I believe there are some out there.
