who else feels like their "past self" should have remained dead? i can't be the only one.

i was mostly referring to complaining about the idiocy my past self got up to, but if you want to figure out how to get back at them somehow, i'm not going to stop you.

Ah... I figured this was all Retrospec's doing, so the retribution would go to them, not me. My past self, or whatever. Honestly I'm not convinced it isn't some huge practical joke anyway, so revenge against Retrospec for resurrecting or messing around works out either way.

well, if you prefer to get back at retrospec, i'm doubly not going to stop you. i might be inclined to help, actually.

all of this seems a bit grand to be nothing but a prank... though i can't deny the possibility it's a sick joke for their amusement. how long have you been on the application?

You underestimate their sense of humor. Although many would disagree with me, I'm not convinced it's anything more than a group of people with too much power, and exploiting it for their own amusement.

It's been over six months for me, and the patterns of their behavior are relatively consistent, but take that as you will.

it's not that i don't think it's possible. i'd like to have some confidence in the humanity of those who have that sort of power over us.

i've been here for nearly as long, so i understand what you mean. they've been consistently aggravating, as well.

Well, good luck with that, I suppose...? I've given up any confidence in them long ago... But it's not like I can get rid of the app and rid myself of them entirely. I'm stuck, just like everyone else. Though I'd do more if I could... I hate waiting around.

i understand the feeling on all accounts. i'm anxious to get anything from them that might let me do something more significant, but i'm trying not to rely on the possibility. i've been attending that fighting club and it's at least helped with the restlessness.

mostly, if i had already lost all hope and resigned myself to sitting around doing nothing, i probably would have broken more than a few things. i'm trying not to do that.

I've gotten several useless items from them, which doesn't help the theory that they're just joking around.

I find ways to busy myself. I've been in the building before, but it's empty. Direct action always yields better results... That's more fitting for my preferences. No employee contact means nothing to me, not being able to get in the building anymore means the same. Little to do that would make a difference.

so what sort of progress would satisfy you, if no contact with the employees or building makes no difference?
