Oddly, profile pictures still cannot be swapped out at this time, so hopefully you took a good one.

How shareable is this site? I don't mind having it, this is pretty cool. But I need to report any new social media accounts to the Department.

Questionable. My gut tells me this is a violation of information security laws. This might have been a part of a different piece of software's terms of service, though. Such as, the terms on your own phone have a clause in there somewhere about being able to test software without your permission?

It's about the only way I can see this being legal.

Maybe you're right? I admit that my English isn't strong enough to understand all of those terms of service when I read them, so I gave up trying, so maybe it's something like that. But, I've heard people buying new phones still have this, so it's very strange.

Oh. Nice to meet you. I don't really know much about the app, either, but it seems like all kinds of people are on it. I thought usually this sort of thing was for high schoolers and college students.

Does your department monitor what you say on the internet? Like do they read everything?

Well. They're supposed to. In practice, not really. The idea is that I'm still acting as a face of the Department, and so I can get in trouble for spilling details of a case or backtalking about a superior.

Or at least they want to make sure I didn't skip off to Tijuana when I said I was sick that weekend.

But they actually don't care about chain letters and cat memes and artsy photographs.

Chain letters are the one thing that SHOULD be off-limits! What good has ever come of them? None, except fleecing children out of some pocket money!

I'm quite well despite being a tad perplexed by this sudden 'invite'. I don't remember signing up to anything like this before, so I'm curious as of how they found my information.

I'm honestly unsure what to think of all this. However, I certainly am not incline to trust them.

Oh, of course not. This is ridiculously illegal at worst. At best it's only very shady. I can see one condition where it might technically be legal, but it's a phone service loophole that'll probably get closed quickly now that someone's called attention to it.

But how can I figure out what it's about if I don't use it? Pretty sly of them.

I hear that members of law enforcement also been entangled within Retrospec's games. Quite worrisome.

I don’t understand how all those young people and other people that use it keeps up. Knowing a lot about technology and being online constantly seems to be a thing these days.

It popped up in my phone and I keep getting notices about it when I’m trying to sleep [ which is the only reason why he even notices it - had he had a pen or brush in hand he wouldn’t notice a thing ] so I thought I would have a look at least.

This whole thing is fascinating. All social media is, really. It all comes out of the need for connectedness. The idea that something doesn't quite exist unless someone else sees it. Objectively, we know that to be false, but here we are communicating anyway.
