So I was reading the Recolle Times and I came across this lovely article. I am pretty sure I know some of the people being referred to in it, and I'd just like to say that I am flattered. Matt, I think you are the hot ADA the writer is referring too, just saying. I for one, think the holiday calendar is a bloody brilliant idea.

I'm not the only ADA who works with the 99th.

[ There's only one other ADA who works with them, another if they're stretched or someone has to sit out but unless the sketches were included and easy to recognize it could be any of them as far as Matt is concerned. ]

Matt, face it. It's obvious that the lab techs are Tatsuo and I. You, Mr ADA, often talk to us at work. Chances are, the ADA the article is talking about it you.

We do stand and talk in the hall near the lobby sometimes.

You don't think the calendar suggestion is embarrassing for whichever police end up in it? Or the department's reputation? The 99th takes care of major crimes.

[ Don't even suggest that they would reach out to that janitor or the three of them. ]

Of course not! Firefighters do that kind of thing all the time don't they? And they take on real fires. This could be a good way for the public to know who we are and that we are real people. I have noticed that a lot of people on the app don't seem to like cops. This could be a great way for them to see we are concerned about the community and are finding other ways to reach out.

Do firefighters put out "sexy" calendars? I don't really know what the norm is. The ones I grew up with had photographs of scenery and that was it. They were the freebies the local businesses sent in the mail with their coupons lining the bottom.

Yes, firefighters put out "sexy" calendars. And yes, it is the norm. Often they are holding puppies. These are not the type of calendars that are handed out for free with coupons. These are made for fundraisers.

Puppies? The animal lovers must enjoy that. So real firefighters... what? Put on their uniforms and hold up fluffy little dogs in front of a camera?

Well, they might not put on all of their uniform. Just the bottom half. But yeah, they hold cute fluffy puppies.

Exactly. So Matt, would you do it if asked? Would you take off your shirt and hold a puppy for charity?

What? I'm not an officer. I don't think think attorneys are the kind of content they're looking for.

But you were mentioned in the article. If the calendar happens, the fan might even expect to see you in it.

I guess holding up a puppy isn't such a bad way to raise money for charity.

But if someone does would you do it? Would you hold a puppy and let your picture be taken? I'm not saying it's going to happen, more of a funny hypothetical situation.

I don't know. I guess? Realistically I need to keep my boss's opinion and professional appearance in mind. But hypothetically if there were no repercussions, just a choice between holding a puppy up for charity or not then sure. I'd hold a puppy and endure the chill in front of a camera for a little while to help someone.
