Don't bother the techs.

Seriously, don't. I'm not entirely sure what's going on but all I'm getting is that it's the equivalent of being hacked and someone who knows layer theory better than we do is out there screwing things up and tampering with the project.

I don't have a really good update for you guys, but bear with us. Please?

has someone actually been able to get in touch with the "techs" to bother them? it was my impression all the employees but you ignored everything we had to say.

i've had enough of this either way. work harder.

It makes sense to call tech support when things break, doesn't it??
lostapprentice: (b: uh huh.)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-04 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
and have you seen their number anywhere? whatever problems they're supposedly working on, it's not at our request.
lastcomfort: (Default)

[personal profile] lastcomfort 2018-06-05 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
...No, I guess that's true. You can "report issues" but it doesn't really give you a way to talk to them directly. Except Zee! We can talk to him.
lostapprentice: (b: uh huh.)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-07 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
and here he is telling us not to bother them. helpful.

It was easier when they had that big headquarters...

i assume they got fed up with us attempting to find out what they were doing and hid themselves instead of remaining in the open. it's almost as if they didn't want us to interfere with their lives. i can't possibly imagine how that must feel.

I really want to believe they're trying to help! But when you put it that way...it does seem unfair.
lostapprentice: (b: maybe not as planned)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-13 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
you shouldn't always believe that people are good without proof. i have yet to see anything concrete that suggests they are actually helping.

Is it really better to believe that they're bad?

if there's a customer service number, they're not exactly sharing it
lostapprentice: (b: pointed stare)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-04 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
i'm sure they'd say it's due to being far too busy to deal with mundane issues like our lives and reality being constantly disrupted.

no time for the "little people". how very ~in charge~ of them.
if they'd just do it right the first time we wouldn't even have to complain.
lostapprentice: (b: angry grumbling)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-07 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
that would be assuming they're at all competent at what they're claiming they're trying to do. they've proven themselves to be inept for a full year now, so i suppose we shouldn't expect that to change.

Jamie Doh
I know! He's all scolding us about something we couldn't possibly even do.
lostapprentice: (b: contemplating murder)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-04 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
i'm done with them telling us what to do when we haven't even had a say.
floret: (better the files)

[personal profile] floret 2018-06-04 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
You could go to his office and complain, I suppose.
lostapprentice: (b: pointed stare)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-04 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
as satisfying as it might be, i doubt it would get any helpful results.

[At least Zee has been... open to communication? It may very well be the best they'll ever get, as much as Ren hates it.

He may also be picturing "complain" as "punch him in the throat", but you know.]

from what i've read he doesn't seem exactly high on the corporate ladder. which is why he's the one stuck speaking to us.

Right? I can't figure out what their reporting structure is at all. And do they only have like seven people working there, or what? Also, I heard Joanne is only like 14, so she probably shouldn't be on the books at all.

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-04 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
given the focus of their "business" is altering reality, it's no surprise that they wouldn't follow any conventional business practices. or laws. or morals.
floret: (and the new dead leaves—)

[personal profile] floret 2018-06-06 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Is it inherently unethical to alter reality, do you think?
lostapprentice: (b: grandma face)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-07 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
without our consent, which they never bother asking for? of course it is. but i'm sure they consider themselves above such concerns.
floret: (we pulled the draft files out)

[personal profile] floret 2018-06-07 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good point.
The whole thing's complicated... so many people are affected, and we all want different things.
Then again, if they just came up with an opt-out system, that'd probably solve most of the problems on its own.
lostapprentice: (b: okay but what if you did)

[personal profile] lostapprentice 2018-06-07 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
imagine how much more appealing all of this would be if we could decide what changes we wanted. they'd definitely have more people volunteering to help them with whatever problems they're supposedly facing.
floret: (eight co-defendants)

[personal profile] floret 2018-06-08 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
It really seems like they should be able to do it, right? I mean, ever since they introduced the mailbox system, people can decide whether or not they want whatever physical object they're sent... physical changes and abilities aren't the same as possessions, but the principle isn't totally different, is it?
