[Pretend it's a picture of the uniform laid out on the bed] I recently got this in the maibox. It's my other self's school uniform. For those who don't know, he went to a wizarding school in the UK. The green represents the house his was in (it's like a dorm for you non-Brits). His house was called Slytherin, which usually has students in it who were ambitious and cunning. It doesn't really fit though. I can put the robe on and that's about it. But considering this was probably his uniform when he was around 16 or so, it makes sense. Thoughts? Opinions?

To put it simply, ba is your life force. Ka need it to manifest outside of your body. That does come with some risk, of course. If you run out of ba, then you not only can't use your ka, but you also die. Likewise, you can die if your ka is defeated in battle.

Needless to say, since the magic of my world seems to have been soul-based, and your bloodline didn't matter... everyone from the highly esteemed royal priests to the lowliest thief like myself could at least utilize their ka. I was wondering if maybe your world was the same way.

Has Retrospec given you any of your magic back yet?

You've got it. That's why it was used in life-or-death battles like wars, which were used to gain more resources... if you're going to use it then you need to make it count.

What sort of abilities did they return to you?

Wouldn't anything larger than a letter be too heavy for such a small bird? Or is that also all taken care of with magic?

But if those are the sorts of birds that wizards are using to send their mail then that's certainly easier for someone like me to picture. How quickly is it delivered?

I only have one owl. And he's not a normal owl. He's really intelligent.

That much is obvious. If all owls were intelligent enough to deliver mail then that garbage postal "service" offered by the government would have tanked long ago. That's why it's too bad you only have the one... wizards have the right idea in that regard.
