So I finally got clothes...

[Pretend it's a picture of the uniform laid out on the bed]
I recently got this in the maibox. It's my other self's school uniform. For those who don't know, he went to a wizarding school in the UK. The green represents the house his was in (it's like a dorm for you non-Brits). His house was called Slytherin, which usually has students in it who were ambitious and cunning.
It doesn't really fit though. I can put the robe on and that's about it. But considering this was probably his uniform when he was around 16 or so, it makes sense.
Thoughts? Opinions?

[The fuck do you do with this knowledge.]
What exactly does one do at a wizarding school, through morbid curiosity?

I suppose a more direct question, seeing as you evidently prefer those, is what sort of magic we're referring to. I imagine there's a difference between alchemy and divination, for example, and further still between those things and what laypeople would think of as magic spells. Did you just study a bit of everything, or was it specialized?

Defense Against the Dark Arts
Transfiguration
Charms
Potions
Care of Magical Creatures
History of Magic
The study of magical plants
Magic Theory
There might have been other classes, but I wouldn't know. I've only received a handful of classroom memories.

Or was it only a coincidence that so many students with the same traits were cooped up in the same dormitories together?

It sounds a little ridiculous but... magic school.

And that kind of power is being wasted on sorting a bunch of students into dormitories? What a waste.

Well, what else would they use the hat for?

sounds like in slytherin every other day would end in a backstabbing, while gryffindor just be constantly trying to show up one another.
but if you mean courageous in that they were full of emsleves for their good bravery,
then yeah, that sounds annoying.

Is that a snake on the crest?

Like, one of the founders of the school could talk to snakes, Salazar Slytherin. Remember when I told you about the Chamber of Secrets? Apparently his HEIR is suppose to open it and "unleash the horror within." His "true" heir is suppose to be able to speak the snakes. Plus, someone that went by the name "The Dark Lord" could apparently talk to snakes. And that Harry Potter I keep seeing in my memories could talk to snakes. So... no, I don't think it would be ideal if I could talk to snakes.

The other houses are Griffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw.
The animals are a badger, a lion, and some sort of bird. A raven perhaps and it went with Ravenclaw?
