Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Alphas, Betas, and Epsilons will notice that network posts will continue to be tagged without names attached but rather their newly issued IDs. OOCly, IDs are comprised of their title, the date they showed up on the app, and the digits on your character's inbox post. So for example, the Recollé NPC who was on the app would have an ID of Beta#0201188329. While user pictures can be displayed, Retrospec users will also experience broken pixels on occasion that obscure the face of whoever they're speaking to. (i.e. we will allow for players to play with an anonymous option if they wish.)

Well, I have to at least try. We can't let these people ruin EVERY awesome holiday.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I really don't think it's their fault.

Then what do you think is causing all these crazy things? That they always seem to know are coming in some way? Or at least they hint at things like they know. That's what I think, looking back on some of their posts like this.

As someone who has worked for a company with stupid and arbitrary rules, I would 100% believe the crazy things are out of their control and they're unable to tell us more about what's happening because company rules.

But if they're working for the people who cause these things, aren't they part of the cause??

Let me ask you something: have you ever worked as a waiter or a cashier? Or another bottom of the totem pole position like that.

Sure, but I think there's a difference of serving people food and watching people get hurt or having weird things done to them!

It wasn't always as bad as it is now. And the goal is noble. I can easily see myself getting a job to pay the bills and try to do something useful with my life. What's the point of yelling at a waiter for their restaurant being busy and understaffed? They know, they hate it too, it wasn't their fault, they can't do anything about it.

I've heard the goal is to help rebuild lost worlds or something. Which... yes, I think is noble too. But this is different from being a waiter. It's affecting people. In real ways. A waiter isn't an equivalent.

Do you think they have any more power over what's being done than the waiters?

Maybe not, but this is totally different from being a waiter. They could, you know, maybe HELP us!

How would you suggest they do that?

I don't know, I'm not a tech or espionage wizard!

Then don't be a jerk about them not doing anything if you can't think of anything for them to do.

I don't think it's being a jerk to think that there's something wrong doing a job where you hurt people.

I don't think they're hurting people. Definitely not on the lower levels.

You get used to it. That's probably not a good thing, but you do.

I've been here months now. I don't think I ever will get used to it.
