[ Last thing Leon wanted was for some stranger to listen in on their private conversation. After opening the door for her, he immediately walks in. ]

[ He says that affectionately while playfully rubbing the top of her head in an attempt to ruffle her hair. ]

[ Normally, Leon would fluster and flip out from such an awful joke but maybe it's because he's slowly getting used to it, he's not as pressed. ]

[ With that he walks over to the receptionist, pays for their room and leads Mio to said room, unlocking the door for her with his card key. It's one of the many rooms they've stayed in. ]

[ This is clearly more important than any other conversation they could be having right now. ]

[ He pretends to contemplate, mostly in an attempt to tease her and drag this out. ]
Well, the first thing that came to my mind was your enjoyment for head pats and praise.
[ Just to prove a point, he once again rubs the top of her head. ]

[ She's looking a little obviously flustered and it seems to show in how her face seems to flush a little scarlet. ]
Geez. It is nice, though. [ There's no way that Mio would dislike it, though. ] And yeah. I did. Um, Leon... you're not mad that I did research about who you were in your past life, are you?

[ Oops, that ended up slipping out. He couldn't help it the moment he saw her reaction to his head pat, that adorable blush will always and forever be a huge weakness of his. ]

Though he does pause at what she tells him. Honestly, he's not all that surprised. From what he's been remembering again, he was unsure if his past life would have a happy ending. ]
Were there? [ There's definitely some uncertainty in his voice. ] Well, I guess it's something I'll have to deal with in the future.

[ She seems to be struggling putting it in words. Almost as if it's some sort of taboo to even speak about it. Instead of continuing what she wants to say she just-- bites her lower lip, glances down and then all of a sudden, Mio simply wraps her arms around him in a tight hug. Not wanting to let him go in the slightest bit. ]
Just- Leon. If you remember anything painful, don't hide it from me, okay? I want to be able to support you, too.

[ Judging by the tone of her voice, he has a feeling it's not going to be a good conversation. The way she pauses makes him wonder if it's something she doesn't really want to talk about.
At her words, he slowly nods and brings her closer to him, wanting to feel more of her warmth. His hand reaches over to the top of her head and gently strokes her hair. ]
I promise, Mio. I swear that I will never hide anything from you.

[ Not this time, anyway. But it's true that it's not really something that she wants to talk about-- not when she's aware of how grim the subject itself is.
Although when she's close to him, she can't help but part her lips in surprise. It's nice, definitely, but she doesn't need this right now. ]

[ There's a bit of an exasperated tone in his voice when he speaks. It wasn't his intention to come across as rude, he's just becoming increasingly concerned with what she was getting ready to tell him. ]

In an instant, all of the colors drain from his face and he just stares at her, in total shock. It's almost as if he doesn't want to actually believe what she's saying, even though he knows full well Mio would never lie about this sort of subject. ]
... What?
[ It's a bit of a dumb comment but those are the only words that are able to escape from his lips as he stares at her, almost looking horrified by this sudden news. ]

[ He's silent and not really sure what to say. However, he does run his hand over his face in an attempt to bring himself back down to reality. ]

[ Although he asks that, he's not really sure if he wants to know the answer. ]

She doesn't want to say it, so instead she just takes out her phone, types something out and then shows him the wiki page. It seems that she doesn't want to actually say a single word about this herself. ]

And he immediately regrets reading the wiki page. Once he finishes reading the text, he's silent as he makes his way towards the bed and sits down, covering his face.
This is the first time in his entire life where he's at a lost for words. ]
