probably the latter. there's too many of us on here all at the same time to really figure out what we're doing even if it is a great way to spread information.
i hadn't though about the idea that maybe they're doing it on purpose for that reason though. that almost makes sense.

Given the way they operate everything else, it's probably not what they wanted to do, but they just ran with it. One of those emergent properties or something.

If you trace it back far enough, Retrospec just wanted to make watches and then they fucked it up real bad.

makes me also wonder how much we are changing from their original plan, but i don't feel that bad about it.
if you listen to the stories and based on what some people are finding, it sounds like the current group working at retrospec have a different idea than the people who originally started it anyway.
who knows? we could be making real history here.

I'd like to pretend that things can change and we can break cycles or whatever. But that's not how this works. Maybe we'd have had a chance for that if we'd all been around before he started thinking he could pull this off. But the world he lives in now only ends with death. Ours or his.

We're being destabilized. Pretty common tactic from what I remember growing up. Keep throwing shit at people so they can never get enough breathing room to organize. And the bad part is that it works really well, especially if you can keep throwing curveball after curveball.

so what we need to do is stop paying attention to the curveballs and don't lose sight of the main issue.

Harder than it would be otherwise when the curveball can be something like "now you don't remember who you are or what you were fighting against", but not impossible.
