waiting sucks no matter how you look at it, but I don't think we have a choice. but I'll give you the same advice someone else gave me. ask around. be curious. even if it seems like a stupid or nonsense question it's still worth asking.

I probably can't tell you anything you don't already know, but if you want maybe we can swap notes? divide and conquer.

I've been asking but most of the things I've been hearing are from sources I don't entirely trust all the way or it all sounds so ridiculous. But that doesn't stop me from asking what needs to be asked.
From what I'm getting, this whole thing goes a lot deeper than we might have thought.
Swapping notes could be okay though. You know. Research and whatever. It's better than doing my homework.

I've seen family members cast magic spells and make swords appear out of thin air. I'm probably sure we're knee deep in ridiculous here. I would take what they say with a grain of salt but they might be telling the truth too. it's a good idea to keep an open mind.

and I'm not going to tell you to not do your homework but I have a hunch you can balance both. don't prove me wrong ok? ;)

ok I can't deny that. but you need a sharp mind to use magic and tactical brilliance to wield a sword. you can't grow strong just eating dessert you know.

Testing Max's memory again? He's still really smart but he's outgrowing my tests.

He's incredibly smart! He's been learning all kinds of tricks and improving his memory and complex thought processes for the last few years.
It just seemed like something to do.

what kind of memory tests? and how long have you been training him? was he always good at picking up things or did you have to work with him on that?
I probably would have done the same thing honestly so I completely understand.

Mazes, picture memory, routine regimes, stuff like that. He's always been pretty smart but sometimes he likes to wander off and do his own thing. It's pretty much whatever tests I can run out of my room.

[It was easy to befriend his ferret when he was busy moving back and forth between here and Japan, mostly.]

I've heard ferrets are like that so I'm surprised you could get him to focus. it's a testament to your methods, Mr scientist :)

I hope you let him have a day off once in a while, and let yourself have one too. sounds like you two keep pretty busy.

He listens to me more than he listens to other people. We've done a lot of work together.
I like staying busy.
