Though seriously with the fancy sci fi tech they use you'd think this would be out of the question. Who out there makes a virus that can actually affect a computer worthy of an alien ship?

There was a post that Retrospec had made some time ago that had talked about outside threats. That could be where this attack had come from.

Granted, that's probably giving Retrospec too much credit, since this is far from the first time they've shown themselves to be incompetent, but at this rate, aliens doesn't seem any more far-fetched than anything else we've had to deal with by being part of their stupid social network.

Not to knock people for attempting to make sense of it. What else are we supposed to do on these announcements?

Dude what if intergalactic war has nothing to do jumping in space ships and it's all about aliens cooped up in cubicles in front of computers trying to mess with enemy tech?

It's certainly true that becoming desensitized to the theories can't be helped when Retropec is always cryptic about what's going on... and even when they actually are open with information about their organization, it doesn't really mean anything to us because there's nothing we can do about it, especially with them having no known physical presence in the city anymore like they used to.

Honestly, with the exception of these last few posts, these announcements are just a big waste of everyone's time if you ask me.

Yeah I have to agree. Like that philosophical talk about what defines who a person is. Great topic when you want to have deep conversation about psychology and the concept of existence but I don't know why Retrospec was using it as an announcement. Don't get my hopes up that you finally fixed all the system errors dude! Save your announcements for news that matters. There's no room for fluff pieces on the network that told me life as I knew it was a lie.
