it's worth a try. i'll take anybody who actually wants to help and work around what their strengths and weaknesses are.
it's just that we've lost a lot of people since we started, too. so i am constantly rebuilding.
people disappear more often than you'd think.

I guess if you don't remember the app there's not much to tie you here.
outside of it being a really neat city. when it's not being totally weird and creepy.
still that must be rough for the people left here, losing track of friends or family

chiyo (idk if you know her) made a post not that long ago talking about all of the people that've disappeared. i hadn't realized how many that was until it was all laid out.
the numbers waver a lot but we have still lost a lot of good friends.
i just wonder if they'll ever come back online.

I don't but I'll be sure to go digging for it.
all we can do is hope right? obviously I would want them to be safe and happy, and not being involved in all of this is their best bet. but I'm sure it's hard seeing them and knowing they don't remember.

in a way it's hard, and in a way there are certain people i wish would come back so i can meet them. that's maybe selfish, but i have given up feeling bad about that.
it's ultimately safer for them to be off the app, but when things start affecting them, too, it's going to be a bigger mess to explain why.

obviously you don't want them to come back to share all of the hard times but so you can get to know them. I think your heart is in the right place.
do things affect the sleepers very often? what do we do if something does affect them?

yes and no. in a way, there are people who were here that i knew in the past life that i never got a chance to meet before they dropped off and moved away, so those are the people i would like to meet the most.
they don't impact them very often, no, but all we can really do is protect them and make sure they don't panic and throw the whole thing off.
easier said than done, right?

I can see why you would want to meet them then. and why you would feel conflicted about it. it's a tough spot to be in.
throw things off in what way? do you have examples?

uh. most of the time they don't even register a lot of what's going on? but sometimes they can see the changes we're going through.
people with physical changes and powers and stuff.
how do you think people would react to someone who can turn into a monster or has a tail or whatever?

ok point. I'm not even sure how I would react to that.

something weird happens every month or so, but 7/10 times the people who are app-less don't notice the full extent.
and the worst part is we never even know what they will or won't notice until it's already started.
it sort of makes me glad my family doesn't live here.

I bet. the family I do have here are all on the network so at least we can keep an eye on each other.
I feel bad for the people who have to hide this from their families though. it can't be easy.

oh yeah, they are totally fine. i haven't had a chance to see them since i moved here or talk to them much, but everything seems fine.
for a while, we could not even talk to people outside of the city. that made things complicated, but it seems better now.
the longer you're on the app the more weird shit you'll learn about.
