[ At 9PM on the 1st, all phones or Retrospec-enabled devices will show flickering screens, until a static-filled image appears. It seems to be a security camera shot, in black and white from a high angle, of a simple computer room. Inside is Joanne Wiseman who many of the users may recognize - she looks young, blonde curls loose around her shoulders, and she also looks tired still. A young man who looks only slightly older than her comes in. He's dark-haired with a sweater and glasses, but a white labcoat that matches hers as well. Maurice comes over to stand nearby, watching the screen Joanne is looking at. Neither of them seem to realize they're being recorded. Joanne looks up, and speaks first. ] Did R and D know anything? [ Maurice shakes his head, says: ] No. They can't track them down either - it's almost as if... [ Joanne: ] They have to be somewhere. [ Maurice: ] Jim's trying to figure it out. You know we don't have anyone better at...ah, "creative" solutions? [ Joanne: ] No, I know, just...what if their souls are just, just - [ Maurice: ] I don't think they're gone. I mean - well, they're gone, but I don't think they're gone? You remember August, the one before last. They're, uh, pretty tough? [ Joanne: ] We're usually able to at least try to help them when we can, though! [ Maurice: ] Jo - look, we're doing everything we can. We'll find them. [ Joanne: ] Before they do? [ Maurice: ] Right. I mean...we have to, don't we? [ They both look worried. Before they do was said with a certain inflection - and hey, Retrospec. It looks like the employees have lost track of you for the month. How do you feel about that one? ] As of this post, character usernames are back to being their own names - or rather, characters will be prompted to put in their name as a boot screen loads. Now's your chance to change your preferred name, Retrospecters - but it appears whatever you put in will be locked in as your choice. Hope you didn't put in something ridiculous! but that's good! that you were not infected. actually that is pretty impressive? are xiaolang and derek ok now?
renting a cinema actually sounds better than trying to cram everybody in our living room...i will have to see how many people are interested.
everything's fine! i just kind of feel like sometimes we can never know what is going to happen anymore.
my best friend ended up being one of the first people infected. you can guess how that went.

But I think they are alright now. I'm still not sure how I managed to avoid it, especially since I was helping Xiaolang-kun. I guess I just figured the cinema would fit everyone more comfortably? Depending on how many people came, of course, I mean. It's just an idea.

That's....probably how you were infected too? From them? I'm sorry.

it's not a bad idea at all. i'll look into it, see what can work. the theater probably has better chairs than our place anyway.
i am definitely impressed you avoided it though.
i got infected because my roommate was one of the first people to be hit. i didn't think he was acting weird or anything so it just kind of happened.
but everyone seems to be fine now.

Probably. Plus the bonus of easy food available without needing to make a specific shop for it.

I'm just glad everyone seems alright now.

it got pretty bad for a while but it looks like everyone's ready for the next thing...whatever that is.

I think we're about as ready as we'll ever be for it. For whatever comes next. We just have to do our best and work together. Like we always do every month.

He is. I guess I was lucky he wasn't involved in some of the earlier things with the app, but still. I thought he was protective enough without this adding to it.

he's your older brother, sakura. i am pretty sure he was going to be overprotective no matter what.
he's adjusting ok?

He already was. All this just makes him worse about it.

But I guess as well as anyone can adjust to the app and all.
