I've finally got this song together, but I'm still stumped on the title. I'm putting the lyrics in here for anyone who's got any ideas. Consider this an open call for song title suggestions.

Okay, so I took a bit of creative license for that imagery. Still, 'potato chip flying away in the wind' sounds a lot more likely than "ramen noodles fluttering in the breeze."

Anyway I don't know about taste. I haven't really had enough ramen to know what that's like. But potato chips are easy, convenient, and tasty. There's like a million variants and you can get 'em just about anywhere. They're a universal food.

I think it would have worked better if it was an empty potato chip bag then the chips themselves.

I suppose, though I'm use to shrimp and banana chips then potatoes.

Like a bunch of potato chip bags fluttering in the wind?

Oh yeah. But do those even come in different flavors? I've only ever had shrimp chips in 'shrimp' flavor before. And I've only seen banana-flavor banana chips.

Think about it. They flutter in the wind, snagging on the branches of frost covered trees, or wrap forgotten around old stop signs and the teeth of rusty fences. And some have that sound they make, like crunching dead leaves and stuff.

They do. I like the sweet potato ones and there's always corn chee.

Plus they're totally empty and devoid of any meaning without any potato chips for them to hold...like they've lost their purpose in life and now they have nothing to anchor them down, so they float away in the breeze of despair.

That could be a song on its own.

Oh ugh, corn chee. That one always weirded me out. It was like a cheese puff, but weirdly sweet. Like who would make a sweet cheese puff?

You could probably nurse a full album on the idea. Like 'The Empty Bag of Chips for the Soul' or something.

I like them. The chocolate ones are a little too sweet, but nothing wrong with the regular ones. Plus it's kinda like having a bowl of mashed potatoes, corn and cheese all in one.

[He's Korean. They like flavors that are odd to Western taste buds.]

Yeah right. Like I could carry a whole album on a bag of chips. Maybe if I threw in some other despair foods, but just a bag of chips? No way.

Besides, that's where you're wrong. Mashed potatoes, corn, and cheese don't belong together. Especially the corn and cheese part--gross. Why can't they just be good on their own, like they were meant to be enjoyed? There's no need to combine them--especially in some weird snack form.

think on it this way: you have a cycle of a full bag of chips so full of hopes and deliciousness and then it gets lower and lower until there's nothing left but the empty bag. Just like life because everything starts out so full of potential as it goes on and on, that hope gets lower until you are nothing more then an empty bag of chips. You can make an entire album off the whole cycle.

Add chicken and it's even better. Americans just have weird taste.

It's not really a cycle if the bag's just spent and used up at the end. It's gotta get chips back into it and start its chip life anew at some point.

You know, the more foods you keep adding into this, the grosser it sounds. What's wrong with having foods separately, huh? Why do you have to lump 'em all together into some weird paste like that?

Add in it getting recycled and turned into a new bag of chips. You're the artist so you can find a way. I'm just tossing out suggestions.

Who says it's mushed together? It's like a sandwich with the potatoes acting as the bread.

Yeah yeah alright, point taken. I'll consider it. Recycling isn't really punk or emo, though.

And yeah, that's the problem with your food concept: mashed potatoes aren't bread. You can't just pick up a slice of mashed potatoes.

Ever watch stuff go through the process of recycling? It's a little metal with the water and the fire and the smoke and fumes and the machines working.

So you never baked mashed potatoes?

So the metal part of recycling is the part that looks the most like pollution?

And of course I haven't baked mashed potatoes, is that a thing you can do? Is that a thing people actually do?

You can find videos about it online if you're that curious.

Yes. It's called twice-baked potatoes. They are baked, the skins hollowed out, the potatoes mashed and then refilled into the skins.

[ So that's what twice-baked potatoes are. Now he finally knows. And by 'he', I mean me, because I didn't actually know what they were. ]

You know what, maybe I will. And maybe I'll use it as my music video.

You're talking just the potato mash here, though, right? Not with any of that cheese/corn/chicken mixture involved? Because I can accept those as being baked potato toppings, but not baked into a potato.

[ Yoon-sung should be the one getting told what it is and not telling other people this is so weird. It's delicious stuff even the skin taste pretty good after the rebake cuz they are all crunchy and buttery. ]

Usually you add butter and milk to the potatoes to get the creamy texture but yeah the rest goes on top.
