Welcome back, users. Looks like we were able to bring you back online and tracked again...here's hoping the layers are settled now, but the readings are off the chart. We're doing our best to stabilize the city for December while we track some of the magical sources we're picking up. It may take us some time though, so please bear with us! Isn't it the perfect time of year to be visiting? I mean, I really enjoyed it when it was a lot warmer but I do miss skiing and snowboarding.

I just meant that the town my folks and family are in is north of town normally (was north of town normally?)

I guess it might be neat to see the mountains again

Oh. Right. It makes sense now but, uh, yeah it's kind of weird how we're basically cut off from the outside world a lot of the times. I couldn't explain it to my mom that it's one of the reasons I couldn't make Thanksgiving and - at this rate - not Christmas either.

I think so! I remember from the old brochures that they have an ice lodge and everything. Places like that make for the perfect winter retreat. Curling up by the fireplace on a soft rug, a mug of hot cocoa in your hands, wrapped up in soft clothes, all after a rousing day of hitting the slopes.

It *does* sound nice. I wonder how cold it is now the last time I was out thee (admittedly this last summer!) it had gotten pretty warm, actually... still snowy on the peaks, but warmer than I'd been told it would be. Hmmm... Actually! That sensual sales pitch almost makes me want to get a few friends together to make a trip of it.

Maybe.

I might lose the idea later in the month, probably depends on how much I'm running around doing holiday things and how much packages can go out now. Can they go out? I know I got some mail a while ago but the last two months have been a nightmare . . .

I'm down for another field trip, if others are. It's definitely more the winter wonderland kind of scene now, even down in the lowlands. I think the summer weather from last time was just another weird fluke of local geography.

[ Jen will be involved right up until road conditions make that trip impossible, anyway. ]

I don't know about actual mail. I haven't even gotten a card from Retrospec in a long while. Have you?

Nope, can't say I have! If you mean the little tickets to put in the mailbox, the last one I got was my sword, I think . . . ?

But I mostly mean for all my cousins and parents and such. It's driving me nuts to be in town for the holidays like this.

I guess the post office would tell you if they had problems making deliveries.

I mean. Realistically, if we were completely cut off then stores couldn't restock. The city would run out of food. Pretty sure everyone would be panicking whether they were on the app or not.

So, it's probably fine? If nothing else you could order things online and they would ship from outside the city to other areas.

Oh I will, I just wish I had another cate package. This time of year I'd normally be getting some squash and I'm genuinely not sure how much is what we're cut off and what distance I've made between me and home.

But I'm whining that's boring.

Hopefully it'll work out in the end. Or if it arrives late, it won't be spoiled? I have no idea about shelf life of anything. If it wasn't for Lina I'm pretty sure all the veggies I don't eat right away would just rot in the fridge.

Yes, I do! I haven't indulged a lot since coming to Recollé so it could be nice to get into it this year.

I can't say I was ever the most athletic of kids (well, I ran a little and I forced myself back to swimming as best I could, but you know!) for obvious reasons but I *can* ski. Probably! It's been a few years so maybe not.

Well I *am* the Saint of Blades!

And I've worked closer with the Mountain, Gunopowder, and Swamp saints! Or well, old-me did, no one who shares memories of that world is in the city.

Was it, like, a super important position? Did you have your own church or anything?

I did train at a big temple but... I'm not sure about a church! Borrowing some sort of divine power, though

No that is actually still cool honestly and you've got me way beat with that prosthetic! But I do like my ability these days.

I kind of remember you showing us at the campout but I'm. Kind of fuzzy on the details from that night.
