Welcome back, users. Looks like we were able to bring you back online and tracked again...here's hoping the layers are settled now, but the readings are off the chart. We're doing our best to stabilize the city for December while we track some of the magical sources we're picking up. It may take us some time though, so please bear with us! I don't really have any Christmas traditions. I mean, I did to the KFC thing for a little while when I was a kid, but nothing after I grew up.

I've always wanted to make cookies but I'm not much for cooking.

I can drink with friends anytime. Honestly, I've gone so long without doing anything that it feels weird for it to suddenly be a thing.

No, no, it makes sense to me, it's just a surprise of sorts. Lord knows if I didn't have my boys I'd probably not be doing much more than decorating my house with lights.

So aside from lights what do you guys do?

Oh, the classics. They're older now so I can't force them into as much of it but a gift exchange, when my younger boy was a little kid I'd do some singing with him, and I do my best to force two Japanese kids to force down some classic English food my grandmother taught me the recipes for.

That sounds lovely, though what does an English Christmas look like as far as food?

I've never been much for cooking, honestly. Baking is supposed to be harder, so I've never bothered.

I think the closest I've come is slice n' bakes, but that was just mostly helping someone else.

You say that, but you already have practice measuring and mixing very precisely from work. I'm working from zero.

You'd think that'd help, but I really only learned how to cook like a decent human being in the past year and a half or so, due to sheer stubbornness. Let's not forget all the kitchens I was banned from prior to that.

[basically, Tatsuo got tired of being a fail!adult, buckled down, and forced himself to learn some basic cooking shit (and okay yes, the whole measuring and mixing precise things did help once he started moving on to more fiddly things)]

What kind of cookies? I can bake some great chocolate chip ones. If you want sugar cookies.... not my fav to make, but I can still show you if you want.
