Happy New Years, users. I'll cut to the chase; the barrier we instilled a few months ago is decaying quickly and we're sorting through the new data as fast as we can. This barrier was originally designed to contain a rogue error. There are several of you who have taken care of this issue and from here we will handle the rest...thank you. The influx of data will help us decode our next steps. As mentioned, we've spent December tracing several magical sources that are coming up in our readings. We're doing the best we can to trace Clarence--Mr. Vanderweele, and corral the effects he's altering in the city. I believe we're ready to tear down the firewall and begin exploring further. If our information is correct, we're really breaking the boundaries of the layers we've discovered lately! It's exciting, don't you think? The only information I can offer is that we will need you to be strong no matter what happens. We believe things have changed outside of security measures we've set in place, though we will need more data to understand the best way to stabilize the city from his control. We understand if you cannot and do not wish to help, but please know we're doing everything we can. Please take care. Joanne Wiseman Technician 2nd class Retr ![]()

Hitori Togusa How's their pet policy?
[He swears he's still joking, but less joking by the second.]

[Oh no, one of the things Shuji is actually insecure about.]
Hitori Togusa I meant a dog, but it's not like you can also ask about their robot policies?
no subject
They might be more willing to have a robot than a dog, actually. Nobody's allergic to robots and they don't shed. Plus yours is very well-trained.

Hitori Togusa Okay so hear me out.
Hitori Togusa Does the library need somebody with really good memory and is always perfectly organized?

Hitori Togusa Not me, silly!
Hitori Togusa Oh my god if I tried to quit, the Chief would handcuff me to my desk!
Hitori Togusa I meant a, well, candidate that they wouldn't even have to pay. Isamu needs something to do.

I think maybe the only problem would be if Isamu won't damage the books? As soon as they're convinced of that they'd hire them. And pay them. I'll fight them if they don't pay Isamu a wage.

Hitori Togusa Isamu would probably even agree with me to not let him work with the older books. At least at first.
Hitori Togusa If he can practice the dexterity with his claws, though? He doesn't have oils or hairs to come in to contact with delicate texts.

Hitori Togusa You're really the other person that seems to get it. With Isamu. That he, or they (he's going back and forth on it?) needs a chance to decide to be something other than the weapon he's equipped to be.

It's not the same thing at all, really, but I know what it's like to worry that who you are is already chosen for you. If I can help Isamu feel like they can be more than their assigned role, I'm glad.
