retrospec | (no subject)

Happy New Years, users.

I'll cut to the chase; the barrier we instilled a few months ago is decaying quickly and we're sorting through the new data as fast as we can. This barrier was originally designed to contain a rogue error. There are several of you who have taken care of this issue and from here we will handle the rest...thank you. The influx of data will help us decode our next steps.

As mentioned, we've spent December tracing several magical sources that are coming up in our readings. We're doing the best we can to trace Clarence--Mr. Vanderweele, and corral the effects he's altering in the city. I believe we're ready to tear down the firewall and begin exploring further. If our information is correct, we're really breaking the boundaries of the layers we've discovered lately! It's exciting, don't you think?

The only information I can offer is that we will need you to be strong no matter what happens. We believe things have changed outside of security measures we've set in place, though we will need more data to understand the best way to stabilize the city from his control. We understand if you cannot and do not wish to help, but please know we're doing everything we can.

No, I was merely observing the fact that you consider travelling to different worlds via a Christmas bauble a "break" from Retrospec.

I mean, it wasn't dangerous or anything? At least, the Japanese town I went to wasn't. That's what I meant.

I was in the mountains of the UK at a magic school (a castle) and at one point was attacked by cornish pixies.

That magic school you mentioned? You went there?

Yes, yes, and yes. The pixies threw things at my brother and I. Fairly harmless and I was able to round them up easily.

So they weren't nice, cute pixies then. Like in the stories.

They are more annoying. Pests, if you will.

Def of pixies: Practical jokers, pixies like to cause havoc, and are known to seize humans by the ears.

Yes. They grabbed one of my classmates, hoisted him up in the air, and then hung him on the light fixture in the classroom.

They hung him from the light? Was he alright? He got down and didn't get hurt, right?

Eventually. I mean, I've seen him in other memories when he's older, so... someone had to have helped him down.

That's good. He might have been scared, so. I'm glad someone helped him out at least. And you were alright? I'm not sure what I could have done.

He was 12. A butt load of pixies get set loose on you by your teacher and they attack you with school supplies. What would you do? He wasn't the only one. Most of the class ran.

I'm not sure. We don't have pixies at school here. Or, at the school in my memories that I'm aware of, at least.

There are moments where it is OK to actually run away Sakura.
