Happy New Years, users. I'll cut to the chase; the barrier we instilled a few months ago is decaying quickly and we're sorting through the new data as fast as we can. This barrier was originally designed to contain a rogue error. There are several of you who have taken care of this issue and from here we will handle the rest...thank you. The influx of data will help us decode our next steps. As mentioned, we've spent December tracing several magical sources that are coming up in our readings. We're doing the best we can to trace Clarence--Mr. Vanderweele, and corral the effects he's altering in the city. I believe we're ready to tear down the firewall and begin exploring further. If our information is correct, we're really breaking the boundaries of the layers we've discovered lately! It's exciting, don't you think? The only information I can offer is that we will need you to be strong no matter what happens. We believe things have changed outside of security measures we've set in place, though we will need more data to understand the best way to stabilize the city from his control. I was on the top of the Empire State Building, but the elevator was broken so I had to climb down the outside, which was like two stories.

Not in particular, but I think most people would be nervous about climbing the Empire State Building sans equipment.

It depends. If you knew it was a dream or if you couldn't die from falling or if you could fly... it wouldn't be as daunting.

It wasn't a lucid dream, I know that. I can't fly and while I could probably survive a fall, the healing process wouldn't be very pleasant.

It's hard to because I'm not sure even my past self knew all the technical details of how his ghost was transmigrated from one of his books and why he has ink for blood now.

That's a bit more nonsensical than I was expecting, but at least it's easier to get an ink transfusion than a blood transfusion.

Nope. Printer ink and pen ink work equally well.

That said, I try not to use printer ink because that's expensive as hell.

It's also not the most affordable, but I wonder, would squid ink work?

It'll work - that's how I found out about the ink healing in the first place - but it's not the most convenient to go order some risotto nero whenever I'm injured.

I suppose it is true that more often than not you might happen across someone with memories of the same kind of world or the same kind of abilities.

It's happened to me twice. But both of them were strangers before I met them through Retrospec, so it's not the same as your situation at all.
