Happy New Years, users. I'll cut to the chase; the barrier we instilled a few months ago is decaying quickly and we're sorting through the new data as fast as we can. This barrier was originally designed to contain a rogue error. There are several of you who have taken care of this issue and from here we will handle the rest...thank you. The influx of data will help us decode our next steps. As mentioned, we've spent December tracing several magical sources that are coming up in our readings. We're doing the best we can to trace Clarence--Mr. Vanderweele, and corral the effects he's altering in the city. I believe we're ready to tear down the firewall and begin exploring further. If our information is correct, we're really breaking the boundaries of the layers we've discovered lately! It's exciting, don't you think? The only information I can offer is that we will need you to be strong no matter what happens. We believe things have changed outside of security measures we've set in place, though we will need more data to understand the best way to stabilize the city from his control. We understand if you cannot and do not wish to help, but please know we're doing everything we can. Please take care. Joanne Wiseman Technician 2nd class Retr ![]()

Fine. I'll be right back.

Your ten minutes begin now.

But Elliot is quiet for a few minutes, until finally there's a response]
No cats. Just more flowers and birds.
no subject
Now that's just disappointing.
Well, I guess all the birds could at least attract some cats to the area. That's good for something.
no subject
I'd...rather not be the cause for birds to get eaten, actually.

And you know, it's not good to spoil cats all the time either.
no subject
Lies. It's definitely good to spoil cats all the time. They deserve it.
no subject
Even if it'd be unhealthy for them?
no subject
They're good cats, Elliot.
no subject
I know. But sometimes you have to be a little strict to give what's best for them.
no subject
You sound like you'd be a good parent.
no subject
Aha, thanks but I'm not sure I'll have any.
no subject
No?
no subject
No. I might be a music teacher to have a steady income though. Between writing and performing music of course.
no subject
Are you going to be a private teacher or work in schools?
no subject
I haven't decided yet. Private teacher would be easier if I wanted a flexible schedule. But if I was in a school, I could reach kids who don't normally have the means to pay for private lessons.
What do you think?
no subject
Both of them have their pros and cons, but it's sweet that you'd want to be a public school teacher for the less fortunate kids. It's harder to work in a school but I think it'd be more rewarding that way.
That's just my thoughts, though. I was planning on going into the public school sector as well, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
no subject
Yeah...I think people assume classical music is only for rich people when that really isn't the case. I'd like to work to change that perception, if I can.
Really? Are you gonna be a teacher?
no subject
I've been considering it, but I don't know if I'm fit to be one. What do you think?
no subject
Hmm...I don't know, I think you'd be good with kids. You're pretty patient and calming.
...Though I'd probably recommend a grade level that's old enough to know what they should and shouldn't eat on their own, just so they don't pick up your eating habits and hurt themselves.
no subject
Elliot, do you really think I'd be irresponsible enough to teach a bunch of elementary school children to eat sand, grass, and dirt?
no subject
But if they see how you eat by accident...
