Seriously, don't. I'm not entirely sure what's going on but all I'm getting is that it's the equivalent of being hacked and someone who knows layer theory better than we do is out there screwing things up and tampering with the project.

I don't have a really good update for you guys, but bear with us. Please?

hey i've lived here most of my life and it was kinda meh even before i got into the retrospec stuff

now it's not meh anymore it's just kinda horrifying

what if like the hackers or whatever are trying to free us from retrospec or something

If they were trying to free us, they'd be doing a better hacking job. Sounds to me like it would be way easier to turn off the "weird shit" layer than the entire city. They want us to know they're here and they want to break shit.

Whatever layer they turn on to make us all suddenly notice this stuff when we get the app, if that's how it even works. I'm paraphrasing. Pretty sure they don't have a switch in their building that says "Weird Shit Turn On", but whatever their process is.

Which is what makes me think that if they wanted to stop Retrospec, they'd just have taken down that one layer. Make it so they can't show more people how fucked up the world is and that basically takes away everything they've got going for them, right?

I don't know. Probably making a few leaps here.

Yeah, not really enjoying how little they're telling us when they always expect us to foot the bill, but, like, whatever. I've done office shit enough to know how this hierarchy works out.

I'm gonna hold judgment on whether I would go back or not. Not feeling philosophy right now.

You can say it as much as you want, but it doesn't make me think any of us are better leaders than people who actually know how all this operates.

They're not helping us right now, but getting rid of them is the wrong answer until we figure out the deal with the hackers.
