Per the mod plotting post, you may use this post to obtain one of this month's freebies! This month's freebie can be earned by turning in a thread on this post that has 10 or more consecutive comments from you.
Please feel free to use this post as a network mingle. Every toplevel can be considered a new post, and threadjacking is permitted. No NPC response will be given. Alphas, Betas, and Epsilons will notice that network posts will continue to be tagged without names attached but rather their newly issued IDs. OOCly, IDs are comprised of their title, the date they showed up on the app, and the digits on your character's inbox post. So for example, the Recollé NPC who was on the app would have an ID of Beta#0201188329. While user pictures can be displayed, Retrospec users will also experience broken pixels on occasion that obscure the face of whoever they're speaking to. (i.e. we will allow for players to play with an anonymous option if they wish.) |

Alpha#02010681 Which is odd, because the few times we've gotten messages from staff, they've been Delta.
Alpha#02010681 But, to answer your question, yes. With the circumstances of the case, we're pretty sure the aim was to send a message to Retrospec.
no subject
Maybe Retrospec doesn't know how the Greek alphabet works.
Retrospec hasn't responded at all about this?

Alpha#02010681 If nobody has explained, Retrospec's intrusion doesn't stop at the app. They keep sending items that they claim belong to us. And some of the time, those item have been dangerous.
Alpha#02010681 But they didn't explain about the names.
no subject
I hate Clue.
But no, nobody explained about items, exactly. Just powers.
...what've you gotten so far?

Alpha#02010681 It's more complicated than that, but going through all the logic involved will take a while.
Alpha#02010681 Well. I got a robot.
no subject
Those are stupid rules.
What kind of robot?
no subject
[Not mentioning the GIANT GUN on the front because Togusa took it off.]
Alpha#02010681 But it learns. It's really curious about the world around it because of that.

Alpha#02010681 Its appearance is locked in, though. Uh, hang on.
[He attaches the icon picture so that he can get a look at the spider tank.]
Alpha#02010681 I guess, if you see this going around the city, it's one of the good guys?
no subject
And I guess why. Do they just hand out stuff whenever they feel like it?

Alpha#02010681 Maurice, the Retrospec employee who is in charge of giving things out? He insists that things come to them. He's hinted that it's a byproduct of whatever process it is they're doing to make us remember memories. And, well, it wouldn't be fair to hang on to those things if they belong to us is what Retrospec believes. The logic is twisted, but it exists.
Alpha#02010681 They've changed their policy so that if they give us something that we aren't comfortable with, we can give it back. But it would be mean to give back the robot, then it would have nothing to do.
no subject
Other than wanting to give the robot a job.

(Not that it would, exactly. It depends on what it processes and learns. And what its primary function is in the first place.)

Alpha#02010681 But I'm not very clear on why. It certainly isn't malevolent at all! Almost too childish to think of such a thing.

As I said, I'm still learning. But I'm trying to come up with something else for it to do, unconnected to my job. Can't be a good influence on it.

That would also help though. It looks like there's more new people than I thought so...I don't know. They might get freaked out.
