So for example, the Recollé NPC who was on the app would have an ID of Beta#0201188329. While user pictures can be displayed, Retrospec users will also experience broken pixels on occasion that obscure the face of whoever they're speaking to. (i.e. we will allow for players to play with an anonymous option if they wish.)

I think the adult version of trick or treating is just having a Halloween party! Maybe we could try to set something up for everyone?

I'm not much of a party person, so I wouldn't know where to start unless baking was involved. But I think that's a great idea. I bet everyone would enjoy a lighthearted celebration like that.

Haha. Well, I'm glad to support a party from behind the scenes. I know how to make some pretty okay punch, and I'm great at cleaning up afterward! Maybe we should advertise our party-enabling services and see who'll take us up on it.

Punch is a good selling point, and cleaning's even better. I can bake, so if nothing else, I could try bribing someone with food. Not that I'm that underhanded.

If someone did want to throw a party, though, we'd make a pretty good team behind the scenes.

Yeah, I do. But my best friend is just a floor below me in my apartment building, so I don't actually feel like I'm completely on my own.

Just that we were talking about having someone around to talk to. I feel like I can talk my roommate anytime, even if it's just over text, but we can't talk about Retrospec stuff anymore, so it's kind of different.

It was just, you know, you mentioned how there's always someone on Retrospec, and then I was thinking about people in real life, but then I was thinking, you know, the real-life people aren't always also Retrospec people.

It must be a lot harder when someone who was originally from the same world loses access... Someone you actually had a lot of shared memories with, and stuff like that. It always seemed so strange to me when people would talk about their friends who'd lost the app almost like they'd died, you know? And it still doesn't totally make sense, but it's probably just because I can't relate.
