Welcome back, users. Looks like we were able to bring you back online and tracked again...here's hoping the layers are settled now, but the readings are off the chart. We're doing our best to stabilize the city for December while we track some of the magical sources we're picking up. It may take us some time though, so please bear with us! i'll try to find some way to get something to them. they deserve to know that even though everything is really difficult all around and that they have maybe the most stressful job out there, we still care about them.

well, some of us do, i guess. i can't really speak for everyone, and i know that there are people around here who blame them for everything even when it's not fair...

Some people blame them, and I can't argue with that. I don't have the confidence to say 'this is exactly what's going on and this is why Retrospec can be trusted'.

But I just don't have the energy to blame Retrospec and hate them all the time.

oh my gosh, right? there are. so many other things going on. so many problems that have absolutely nothing to do with Retrospec, too.

i don't have enough time in the day to be mad at Retrospec. they're just doing their best. they're just working in customer service on a bigger scale.

I have spent enough years in retail that when people talk about how a business that was trying to help would be more helpful I can just flash back to all of the ridiculous rules from corporate and go 'you're lucky they can talk to us at all'.

exactly, oh my G-D, they're just doing their best with the limitations that are being placed on them and just because i've never worked retail myself doesn't mean i don't know what it's like and

oh my gosh, i'm getting a little heated. um, anyway, yeah. people need to be nicer to Retrospec, and in general. for a season that's supposed to be all about peace and love, there's wayyy too much stress going around.

Maybe it's different for you, but has the holiday season ever not been super stressful? Even pre-Retrospec.

yeah... it always is kind of hectic, but this is getting a little extreme, you know?

sigh. maybe the world will be a little kinder to us this month because of it. you know? it would be really nice. i heard last year there were mistletoe bats and they seem pretty cute!!! i wouldn't mind having those back

well, think about some of the things you've told me! about your book-scythe that's also more things that i don't know if you want me to talk about on a public network, or the ink, or anything like that, you know?

i mean, my roommate has gun fists, and one of my best friends is an alien, and that's not even going into the things i've learned about what Two used to be, but not a lot else comes close, really

I know my past life is more weird than people who were just an idol with no magic involved whatsoever (even if they were super extra about it), I just don't think of mine as the most weird. Part of that's probably because I'm used to it now, but also you just hear/see a lot of shit when you've had the network for a while.

yeah... sometimes it's hard to remember that i've only had the app since early April (๑•﹏•) and that i used to use wayyyy more kaomoji

things change so fast around here that it's hard to keep track sometimes. but you're right, honestly the things i know about you don't even strike me as that weird anymore? i'm... i got used to the way things work here really, really fast. i feel like i should maybe be a little more worried about that.

Maybe you should, but I think everyone's like that to some degree. You adapt. You have to adapt or else you'll never manage, no matter how weird the things you have to get used to are.

yeah. i guess it's not a bad quality, right? when our entire lives can change at the whims of someone we can't even see, at basically the drop of a hat? if we don't learn how to adapt and adapt FAST, we're all going to be in serious trouble.

that's what growing up in an orphanage does to you, i guess. learn how to do everything fast because they change even faster.

It's a quality a lot of us have. At one point I thought that was the quality Retrospec selected for, the ability to deal with everything changing constantly and throwing more and more bullshit at us.
