Happy New Years, users.

I'll cut to the chase; the barrier we instilled a few months ago is decaying quickly and we're sorting through the new data as fast as we can. This barrier was originally designed to contain a rogue error. There are several of you who have taken care of this issue and from here we will handle the rest...thank you. The influx of data will help us decode our next steps.

As mentioned, we've spent December tracing several magical sources that are coming up in our readings. We're doing the best we can to trace Clarence--Mr. Vanderweele, and corral the effects he's altering in the city. I believe we're ready to tear down the firewall and begin exploring further. If our information is correct, we're really breaking the boundaries of the layers we've discovered lately! It's exciting, don't you think?

The only information I can offer is that we will need you to be strong no matter what happens. We believe things have changed outside of security measures we've set in place, though we will need more data to understand the best way to stabilize the city from his control. We understand if you cannot and do not wish to help, but please know we're doing everything we can.

Please take care.

[ hey, the arm doesn't count, that's not a superpower!! ]

idk, that's pretty vague
what do you want advice on specifically

[it should. it should totally count.]

idk how to not feel like you're going a little crazy when for some reason you remember being in a flying bus that crashes into a flying building?

or falling from the sky to dropkick a hippo that can apparently control water

are they messing with me?

frostythehitman: (landing on an endless desert)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-04 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
you're in luck
i happen to specialize in extremely weird BS memories

they're not messing with you any more than they're messing with any of us though
whoever other you was just happened to deal with a lot of weird stuff
the best way to not go crazy is just stick to the app
read what's getting posted on here, talk to other users
that's about all you CAN do
i can't even talk to anyone who isn't on the app any more
i've got too much weird stuff bouncing around in my brain now to talk to anyone normal

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-04 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)

probably doesn't help you suddenly aged 20 years either?

so... where does dropkicking a water manipulating hippo fall on the weirdness scale around here?

frostythehitman: (unclear if mocking or genuinely grinning)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-06 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
well yeah that didn't make it any better
but being a high schooler who's also a WW2 vet already made it basically impossible to talk to anyone
like what was i supposed to say, "hey dad sorry about the arm, i lost it fighting in a war that ended before you were even born"? not gonna fly

dropkicking a hippo with water powers sounds like something I'D remember though
which means you're definitely on the more extreme side of the weirdness scale
congrats

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-08 01:00 am (UTC)(link)

no... that wouldn't fly... not at all...

but you were able to find people on the app to talk to about stuff?

okay. okay... i will just have to get used to it. i guess?

frostythehitman: (unclear if mocking or genuinely grinning)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-08 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
you could say that
it's not like you have to talk about it to keep from going crazy either
but just knowing it's an option and people are gonna believe you and get it is pretty helpful
and yeah sorry but there's no refunds for weird memories
you're just gonna have those in your head forever now unless you drop off the app completely

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-08 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)

i heard that could happen, dropping off the app

i'm not really sure if i would prefer that though

it really weirds me out that all this weird shit was happening and i didn't even notice

frostythehitman: (but no one laughs when they get there)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-09 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
well you definitely wouldn't have to worry about remembering superpowered hippos if you dropped off
and you wouldn't even have to worry about whether you preferred it or not because you wouldn't even know there was anything TO prefer
psykick: (Default)

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-10 06:37 am (UTC)(link)

okay, that is true

but weird as they are, the superpowered hippos aren't really bad

just really, really weird

frostythehitman: (if you like)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-11 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
if the hippos weren't so bad why were you dropkicking them
psykick: (Default)

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-14 07:35 am (UTC)(link)

because it was floating in a giant cube of water down a very busy street?

frostythehitman: (this rock of ours is just)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-17 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
that's it?
it wasn't hurting anyone or anything?
come on that hardly deserves a dropkick
psykick: (Default)

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-17 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)

not really, but i don't know what came before or what came after that moment

it probably escaped from the zoo. maybe the zookeepers already tried to recapture it but were unable to.

[b/c you know, water manipulating capabilities]

frostythehitman: (unclear if mocking or genuinely grinning)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-18 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
think about it this way
at least it probably didn't flood the entire city and kill a bunch of people
THAT would be worth a dropkick
psykick: (⇒ unsure)

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-21 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
so how would you stop a water manipulating hippo mr smarty pants?
frostythehitman: (me and my turtleneck know best)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-22 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
i wouldn't
unless the hippo was causing trouble
just let the hippo live its life
psykick: (Default)

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-22 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)

shouldn't the people living in the city be allowed to live their lives too? the water the hippo was manipulating was huge. it filled the street right in front of a big train station.

frostythehitman: (they both melt)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-25 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
alright well
it's really just down to what you'd rather live with
what would keep you up at night more
a lot of people getting inconvenienced by a block of water
or dropkicking a superpowered hippo out of midair
psykick: (⇒ unsure)

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-25 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
until i get more context for this memory, i'm really trying not to judge my past self here
frostythehitman: (well god said something)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-28 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
yeah that's legit
that hippo could have been a mass murderer for all we know right now
psykick: (⇒ confused)

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-28 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
okay now you're making fun of me

...

omg she kicked her dad in the face. past me was a menace!!!
frostythehitman: (why do i have to listen to you)

[personal profile] frostythehitman 2019-01-30 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
i'm not making fun of you that hippo COULD have been a mass murderer!!

...her dad could've been one too
psykick: (⇒ unsure)

[personal profile] psykick 2019-01-31 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
omg that's so messed up james

hold on, i'm still sorting this one out

like, her dad was in the middle of this giant ball of cars

and she's thinking she's the only one who can save him?

and then she passes through all the cars and kicks her dad unconscious
