Happy New Years, users.

I'll cut to the chase; the barrier we instilled a few months ago is decaying quickly and we're sorting through the new data as fast as we can. This barrier was originally designed to contain a rogue error. There are several of you who have taken care of this issue and from here we will handle the rest...thank you. The influx of data will help us decode our next steps.

As mentioned, we've spent December tracing several magical sources that are coming up in our readings. We're doing the best we can to trace Clarence--Mr. Vanderweele, and corral the effects he's altering in the city. I believe we're ready to tear down the firewall and begin exploring further. If our information is correct, we're really breaking the boundaries of the layers we've discovered lately! It's exciting, don't you think?

The only information I can offer is that we will need you to be strong no matter what happens. We believe things have changed outside of security measures we've set in place, though we will need more data to understand the best way to stabilize the city from his control. We understand if you cannot and do not wish to help, but please know we're doing everything we can.

Going for distinguished expert qualification on pistol this year. I keep wavering right around the score, can’t get it reliably yet.

Really? You've always had a good eye. Is it your speed?

I'm not sure yet. I've been considering freshening up my certifications and doing private sector work.

It’s fatigue and consistency. I start out great, and I’m a lot better than even a year ago, but performance still drops off over the length of shooting a whole match.

Private sector is good. Better money in it.

I'd say work backwards then. Work on being able to shoot for longer and then focus on shoring up the accuracy. Part of it's the mental endurance. You become more aware of the test as it goes on, you know?

Yeah, I know. The clientele [read:rich folks, usually men] can leave a lot to be desired. I'll get over it once I start. But it sucks, you know?

Yeah. On one hand, I don't want to zone out, I always want to be very aware of where my shots are going. But on the other? It helps.

But getting the funding and/or cover to look into what you really want is the point, isn't it? I'm still getting my job done, but nobody's paying any attention to which file folders are pertaining to which.
