Happy New Years, users.

I'll cut to the chase; the barrier we instilled a few months ago is decaying quickly and we're sorting through the new data as fast as we can. This barrier was originally designed to contain a rogue error. There are several of you who have taken care of this issue and from here we will handle the rest...thank you. The influx of data will help us decode our next steps.

As mentioned, we've spent December tracing several magical sources that are coming up in our readings. We're doing the best we can to trace Clarence--Mr. Vanderweele, and corral the effects he's altering in the city. I believe we're ready to tear down the firewall and begin exploring further. If our information is correct, we're really breaking the boundaries of the layers we've discovered lately! It's exciting, don't you think?

The only information I can offer is that we will need you to be strong no matter what happens. We believe things have changed outside of security measures we've set in place, though we will need more data to understand the best way to stabilize the city from his control. We understand if you cannot and do not wish to help, but please know we're doing everything we can.

It's a lot less cool than it sounds. And my past self would definitely not be a protagonist in a kids' show.

I want to predicate this with that Dazai, as far as I know, never murdered anyone or plotted to end the world or anything like that. I could have worse, as far as past selves go. But he did cheat on his wife at least once. He was a dick to his friends and he threatened to stab someone because they didn't give him a literary award. I'm 99% sure he stalked someone and if he didn't technically do that, he still considered them a god and followed them around while they barely knew he existed. I've been told he wasn't a bad person, but he's definitely not protagonist material.

He is and I hate it. Do you know how bad it feels when you're trying to vent to your friend and they're swooning over the famous names? Like I know you've grown up reading Akutagawa Ryuunosuke, but I'm trying to talk to you about how Dazai stalked him like a creep so maybe now is not the time to gush about how lucky past me was to know him!

Stuff like this is why so many celebrities get away with doing awful things. They might be famous, but that doesn't excuse stalking.

Seriously! Being a good writer, or actor, or whatever they are does not a good person make!

You can admire someone for their talent, but that doesn't mean they get a pass for being a bad.

I know there were some composers who were really gifted, but also really questionable in their choices. You have to accept that.

I know it's hard when someone you admire turns out to be not what you thought they were, but you just have to accept that you didn't know the real them.
