Characters who have been in game for more than one month will find they can change their profile pictures; newcomers are locked into their first choice. At various points throughout the day users will be sent images of themselves from behind, regardless of where they are. There doesn't seem to be any way to catch whoever might be taking and sending these, however, especially since being alone in a room doesn't seem to be a deterrent.

Many of our young generation have lost the ability to, in my opinion, though they have traded that skill for things they find far more useful, such as communicating in a language they've created themselves.

That aside, is there truly a reason to know how to read one in this day and age?

* those who rely solely on gps
* the majority of people on any given mmorpg
* really, you would be surprised at how many people do not know how to navigate a dungeon or raid, much less a town or even the wilderness, despite the minimap being right here and a larger map being available at the click of a button

however, i am aware of how to read one, but that is my two cents.

Don't most people rely on GPS these days to do the reading for them? The old comedic cliche of holding a traditional map upside-down may actually apply in the modern day.
